Eligibility & Admissions
Do I need prior German language knowledge to apply?+
No. Our programme starts from absolute beginner level (A1). You will be assessed during the admissions process and placed at the appropriate starting level if you have some prior exposure.
What qualifications do I need?+
A Diploma, B.Tech, or B.Sc in a technical discipline. Minimum age 18 years. Prior HVAC experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
Is there a personal interview?+
Yes. A short personal interview (online or in-person) is mandatory for all applicants. It is not a test — we use it to understand your goals and ensure the programme is the right fit.
How many seats are available in Batch 1?+
Batch 1 is limited to 15 students. This is a deliberate choice — small cohorts allow for personalised attention and better outcomes.
Programme & Training
How long is the full programme?+
The complete end-to-end pathway is approximately 15 months — covering German language (A1–B2), HVAC trade training, document preparation, visa application, and pre-departure support.
Can I do the programme online?+
German language training is available in both classroom and live online formats. HVAC practical training requires in-person attendance. Contact admissions to discuss your situation.
Which German language exam do you prepare students for?+
Our curriculum is aligned to both Goethe-Institut and ÖSD exam standards. The B2 certificate from either board is accepted for the German skilled worker visa.
What happens if I fail the B2 exam?+
We provide exam preparation support throughout the programme. If a student does not pass on the first attempt, additional coaching is available. Our team will work with you to prepare for a resit.
Fees & Payment
What is the total cost of the programme?+
The estimated total is approximately ₹5,99,000 (excluding travel, approx. ₹80,000). This covers registration, German language training (A1–B2), HVAC training, and visa & offer support. A full breakdown is on the Admissions page.
Are there payment plans or instalments?+
Payment plans may be available depending on your situation. Contact our admissions team to discuss options before applying.
Are fees refundable?+
Fees are mostly non-refundable once training has commenced. The application fee (₹2,000) is non-refundable in all cases. Please review the terms and conditions carefully before enrolling.
Visa & Germany
Which visa is used to work in Germany?+
The German Skilled Worker Visa (Fachkräftevisum) introduced under the Skilled Immigration Act (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz). It requires a recognised qualification, a B1/B2 language certificate, and an employer offer or job seeker visa criteria.
Does GNVBT Institute guarantee a visa?+
No. Visa issuance is solely decided by the German embassy and Federal immigration authorities. GNVBT Institute provides guidance and support throughout the application process but cannot guarantee any outcome.
Is job placement guaranteed?+
GNVBT Institute does not guarantee employment. We provide employer introductions, CV preparation, and pre-departure support through our industry partner network. Hiring decisions rest entirely with German employers.
Can my family join me in Germany?+
Yes, family reunion is possible under German immigration law after you have settled and meet the income and accommodation requirements. This is subject to German Federal rules and GNVBT Institute has no control over such decisions.
What are the long-term opportunities — residency and citizenship?+
Germany offers permanent residency (Niederlassungserlaubnis) after 4 years of employment and citizenship after 5 years (3 years under certain conditions). These pathways are governed entirely by German Federal law.
